hitrecordjoe:

So, I’ve been spending a lot of time promoting INCEPTION recently, and I’ve done a ton of interviews. Of course, I’m always looking for a graceful way to get in a word about hitRECord. But it’s pretty rare for a TV talk show interviewer to take the conversation anywhere too out of the ordinary. So most of the time, I don’t get to mention it.

Enter Jimmy Fallon. I love this dude. I’m proud to call him a friend of mine for several years now, and I mean it, his awesome success, getting his own show, having The Roots for his house band (!) — it’s one of those special cases where the good guy really ended up on top.

For a small budding unorthodox production company like hitRECord, to get the kind of exposure that he just gave us, it’s a big deal. So Jimmy, on behalf of our entire world-wide community, and from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!

Yesterday.

So my birthday has passed on from yesterday to today. I am now 24 years old and have done nothing really exciting with my life. I’ve been thinking about putting together a bucket list and fulfilling all of it before I die whenever I do. But I don’t know.

I even wrote a poem for my birthday yesterday.

growing old [7.10.10]

another year older
and i’m still unable to see daylight
wrapping itself around these eyes
while god whispers inside fragility’s ears
listening to prayers taken
out of the dead’s hands

and silence erupted
like a volcano’s last breath

Anyways, I guess that’s it. Time flies by so fast eh?

July 10 every year, you are a disease.

we’re going to take over the world one chucky at a time.

iMac.

I’m getting my iMac in October but I cannot get the 27 inch because it costs a lot more so I am going with the 21.5 inch. I need a new computer so it’s good enough for me, because they’re both the same type of computer except for the screen being different. I’ve never owned a Mac, always Windows. I never liked Windows to begin with but I have worked with Macs loads of times. I love them lots more.

I cannot wait.

All I have is this crummy netbook.

battlefields.

[7.6.10]

silence moved outside
towards the sun
to rip her dry from speech
because the burns
made too much noise
for the moon to sleep behind
earth’s gravity

it was death praying
to a god that didn’t exist
for atheists and locusts
stretching his heart out
to meet the standards of
a world only bleeding
hymns of ruefulness
against splattered pictures
covered in debris

buildings collapsed from standing
waiting on the fire
to scorch humanity with its blades
and an eclipse turned to stone
in the afternoon sky
yelling at stars that were hiding
from the devil in disguise

this is the end of everything that started
as we are in the battle of
nothing in return
